Refund Policy
Effective date: September 13, 2025
Scope
This policy applies to voluntary donations and gifts made to Music City Academy (“MCA”) online, by mail, or at events. It does not cover tuition, fees, merchandise purchases, or ticketed events.
Our policy
Donations are vital to our mission and are generally final. We will, however, honor a refund when:

The donation was made in error or the wrong amount was entered

A duplicate donation was submitted

A donation was made without the donor’s authorization

A technical/payment processing error occurred
How to request a refund
Email info@musiccityacademy.org within 30 days of the donation. Please include your name, donation date and amount, payment method, and the email or receipt ID used. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Recurring gifts
You may change or cancel a recurring gift at any time. If the most recent charge occurred within 30 days, we can refund that installment upon request.
Restricted gifts
If a project becomes fully funded or impracticable, MCA may use remaining funds for a closely related educational purpose. If you request a refund within 30 days for a restricted gift affected by such a change, we will work with you on a refund or reallocation.
In-kind gifts and sponsorships
Non-cash gifts and sponsorships are not refundable. If you have concerns about an in-kind gift, contact us and we will discuss alternatives.
Tax receipts
If a donation is refunded, any charitable receipt issued will be voided. Please consult your tax adviser if you have already claimed a deduction.
Chargebacks
If you see a charge you do not recognize, please contact us first so we can investigate and resolve it quickly.
